S&R (Marine Services) BV was founded on April 2001 as a private organization which is particularly specialized in NVOCC activities throughout the globe, mainly aiming for the Transatlantic, Pacific and Canadian area business. By negotiating numerous service-contracts with various shipping-lines, S&R can offer a variety of opportunities for her clients (forwarders 40% and direct vendors/consignees 60%) in a wide schedule-scale against competitive rates. With an average annual volume of about 25.000 TEU and an annual turn-over of approximately Eur. 35 million, we are able to guarantee their customers continuously updated rates and services, mainly for full-loads (FCL), to be performed besides various secondary activities such as LCL, road transport, warehousing and airfreight.
Leaning on 30 years of experience in the NVO-industry to and from the USA and Canada, the staff of S&R can be of great assistance for direct clients and forwarders as well as overseas agents. Situated in the southern part of Rotterdam, S&R is strategically based within the range of the port area, the Rotterdam airport and all required customs-facilities. General Cargo
Dry van container specifications
The dry freight box is the most widely used container for general cargo and is available in 20ft and 40ft lengths. For high volume, low weight cargo, 9ft 6″ high, 40ft and 45ft units are available giving an additional internal cubic capacity.
Out of Gauge Cargo
Special Containers are available for heavy loads and oversize cargo as well as project cargo. Numerous of very strong lashing devices on longitudinal rails and corner posts.

There are three refrigerated container sizes available as follows. For goods which require a constant temperature S&R Marine offers Refrigerated Containers.
Using modern technologies these containers afford constant temperatures above or below freezing point. Reefer Container do have their own electrically operated cooling/ heating unit. The power supply is provided by ship’s electrical plant, by terminal or by “clip-on” diesel generator.
